What a sizzler! More heat today – lessening tomorrow with Showers and Potentially Severe Storms – Cooler Weekend

Posted on April 7, 2010 By Mid Atlantic Weather No Comments on What a sizzler! More heat today – lessening tomorrow with Showers and Potentially Severe Storms – Cooler Weekend

All kinds of records broken for heat yesterday. Record heat 2 months after a record snow is just wild. The heat will continue today with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s for a lot of people. Tomorrow a strong cold front will pass through and drop temperatures for Friday to mid 50s to Mid 60s. The Upper 50s to upper 60s will return on Sunday and back into Upper 60s and low and mid 70s for Sunday.

Of note, with stronger dynamics there is the possibility for Severe Storms tomorrow afternoon and evening. The Severe Storms Prediction center has outlined us for a Slight Chance of severe.

All for now!
