Today will be sunny with highs 30s north to upper 40s south, even 50s in NC. Increasing clouds tomorrow with rain breaking out Southwest to Northeast by afternoon and then evening. Rain will be moderate to even heavy at times overnight, especially for the north half of area (Northern VA, DC, MD, up into PA)….

There is some uncertainty as to whether or not Maryland could see some frozen precipitation out of the system based on the Global Forecast (GFS) Model. This looks like a cold rain event, maybe colder than what the forecast is now, but rain looks dominant. In PA there will be some mixed and snow again…
