Clouds will break free to warm sunny, breezy skies later today. Severe threat!

Posted on April 11, 2011April 11, 2011 By Mid Atlantic Weather No Comments on Clouds will break free to warm sunny, breezy skies later today. Severe threat!

Very warm to hot day on tap with very warm southerly winds ushering in warm moist air. This will set the stage for strong to potentially severe storms late this evening and overnight. Temps will cool to more seasonal tomorrow with upper 50s to lower 60s north, upper 60s to lower 70s southern half of VA and NC. Temps will hold about the same Wednesday and warm to upper 60s and lower 70s Northern VA and MD by Thursday, but temps the same for Southern VA and NC.

Next chance of rain will be Friday Night into Saturday.

All for now. Updates on severe threat later.
