Today: We will have much chillier weather today as rain dissipates and some breaks in clouds appear later this morning. HIGHS: North (North VA, DC, MD): 40s Mid(South half of VA): 50 – 55 South (NC) – 60 to 70

Tonight: Much colder with clearing skies LOWS: North (North VA, DC, MD): mid to upper 20s Mid(South half of VA): 32 – 39 South (NC) – 38 – 45

Friday: Remaining cool/cold! HIGHS: North (North VA, DC, MD): 40s Mid(South half of VA): 50 – 55 South (NC) – 55 – 65

Friday Night: Some clouds by morning in the south – continued cold! LOWS: North (North VA, DC, MD): mid to upper 20s Mid(South half of VA): 30 – 35 South (NC) – 38 – 42

Saturday: Rain showers overspreading from the SW – Very cool/cold HIGHS: North (North VA, DC, MD): 40s Mid(South half of VA): 50 – 55 South (NC) – 60 to 70

Saturday Night: Snow possible north VA, MD, PA, especially in the Mountains. Cold rain elsewhere LOWS: North (North VA, DC, MD): 30 Mid(South half of VA): 33 – 38 South (NC) – 40 – 45

Sunday: Snow may continue into the morning and may mix back to and change to rain in the north with some white coating on grassy areas even a few inches in higher elevations. Cold rain elsewhere. HIGHS: North (North VA, DC, MD): 35 – 40 Mid(South half of VA): 43 – 48 South (NC) – 50 – 55

Extended: Cool to cold conditions to continue with yet another unsettled period possible Tuesday into Wednesday with northern area snow possible!

Pattern should break down by next weekend and swing towards normal temps!
