Cooler weather has settled in from a back door cold front. As a disturbance moves along the front today we should see an increasing chance of rain, especially in the south. Cool weather will slowly give way to more seasonal temperatures this weekend and then we look to head slightly above normal for temperatures about mid next week.
Summary: A cold high pressure system has nosed down the eastern side of the
area, but is having a hard time overcoming cool dry air in place in the north. Had it been a few months ago, snow would be in the forecast somewhere! Slowly the temperatures recover this weekend and things look nice and sunny now with temperatures starting below normal but near normal by Monday!
