OTD in 1974: The “Superoutbreak” of tornadoes was underway; it produced 148 tornadoes from Alabama to Michigan, killing 315 persons and injuring 5300 others. Alabama, Kentucky, and Ohio were especially hard hit. The Guin, AL and Xenia, OH F5s in my opinion were the most violent. pic.twitter.com/oDn9rCTkhu
