NORTH CAROLINA/SE VA – Some snow possible tonight into tomorrow depending on the track of a coastal low. I am even keeping an eye on it as this system MAY be more of an impact – but, for now it looks like it is out to sea! Rain will mix with snow tonight for Southeastern NC and Northeastern SC.
Other than Eastern NC and far SE Virginia for tonight and tomorrow, our weekend will be nice and seasonal with 40s and 50s. Snow has melted well. Anyone needing to take down their outdoor decorations (you know who you are) will have a chance before colder times!
I wanted to do a quick shout out for my weather friend Justin Berk as he partnered with Signs By Tomorrow to make some awesome snow measuring sticks! Check Them Out!
Snow threat on Monday through Wednesday is NOT CLEAR at this time. I decided to do my preliminary thoughts on the system, but I DO expect fine tuning! The temps will be marginal so this will be like a “white rain” for many as the intensity of the snow is not that great!
It looks to get pretty cold Wednesday into next weekend! We have a VERY interesting look in the long term modeling for a potential MAJOR snow storm around the 15th/16th! This one COULD be very big, but will have to wait and see if the signals hold!
All for now!
