Outlook This Week 09/08/2018 – Heavy Rain and Florence #vawx #ncwx #pawx #mdwx

Very cool areas today in the north and there are some heavy rains up north as well with flood watches for many. Highs today

High Temps Sunday 9/8/2018

A lot of advisories related to flooding and onshore flows from the interaction of a high pressure (causing the colder temps) and a front interacting with the remnants of Gordon. Easterly winds will also cause some tree issues today with all the saturated soils.

We all have to watch Florence and I am CONVINCED she is coming ashore somewhere from upper South Carolina to the Outer Banks. She then could stall. The National Hurricane Center issued the latest outlook at about 5am this morning, but she may have made it to Hurricane Status by now.

NHC Update at 5am

Rain is going to be a huge issue! Serious issue! This storm will cause serious flooding! We need to be very careful! This is just the two-day outlook! There could easily be well over a foot in areas!

I am very concerned about this outlook! Please be careful! Anyone along the coast needs to start implementing plans today so they can be ready to evacuate when required.

I am not trying to be alarmist but getting waters and some other supplies would be a good idea. Here are some preparation videos I saw today that were helpful.

And some Generator Tips!
